{"id":1456,"date":"2012-06-01T21:58:18","date_gmt":"2012-06-01T21:58:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?p=1456"},"modified":"2012-06-01T21:58:18","modified_gmt":"2012-06-01T21:58:18","slug":"taco-filling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?p=1456","title":{"rendered":"Taco Filling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This versatile filling can be used in conjunction with Shredded Lettuce,\u00a0\u00a0Diced Tomatoes, Chopped Green Onions, Sliced Black Olives, Chopped Jalapenos, Fresh Salsa, Fresh Sliced or Diced Avocados and some grated Cheese to make\u00a0Burrittos, Taco Salad or if you are very lucky and have someone around who can \u00a0make Bannock, Indian Tacos!<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1457\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1457\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1457\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1457\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1457\" title=\"Taco Salad with Salsa\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Taco-Salad-with-Salsa-300x230.jpg\" alt=\"Taco Salad with Salsa\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Taco-Salad-with-Salsa-300x230.jpg 300w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Taco-Salad-with-Salsa.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1457\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Taco Salad with Salsa<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>2 Tablespoons Olive Oil<\/div>\n<div>1 Onion, diced<\/div>\n<div>1 pkg \u00a0Yves Just Like Ground Round (Sanitarium Vege Mince in Australia)<\/div>\n<div>1 clove Garlic, minced<\/div>\n<div>1 &#8211; 2 Tablespoons *Adobo Seasoning Mix<\/div>\n<div>1 Tablespoon Lemon or Lime Juice<\/div>\n<div>1\/2 cup Salsa<\/div>\n<div>1\/4 &#8211; 1\/2 cup Water<\/div>\n<div>1 teaspoon Jalapenos, chopped (optional)<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Large Flour Tortillas<\/div>\n<div>Lettuce, shredded<\/div>\n<div>Sliced Black Olives<\/div>\n<div>Cheddar Cheese, grated<\/div>\n<div>Jalapenos, chopped<\/div>\n<div>Salsa<\/div>\n<div>Fresh Sliced or Diced Avocados<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Heat olive oil in fry pan, saute onion for a few minutes.<\/div>\n<div>Add garlic and continue sauteing for another minute or two.<\/div>\n<div>Stir in &#8220;mince&#8221;, breaking it up with the back of a spoon.<\/div>\n<div>Stir in salsa, water, Lemon or Lime juice, chopped jalapenos, if using and Adobo Seasoning.<\/div>\n<div>Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until heated through.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Burrito &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0Spoon \u00a0taco filling down the centre of a tortilla; add toppings of your choice and roll up, tucking in bottom end.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1458\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1458\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1458\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1458\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1458\" title=\"Burittos\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Burittos-300x177.jpg\" alt=\"burittos\" width=\"300\" height=\"177\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Burittos-300x177.jpg 300w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Burittos.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1458\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Filling Burittos with loads of Fresh Toppings<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Taco Salad &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Fill a shallow bowl with a heap of shredded lettuce, layer on diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, chopped jalapenos, followed by 1\/3 cup Taco Filling mix.
