He bought two packages of lovely panini rolls because they were on sale&#8230;well, we can only eat so much fresh bread between the three of us. The lovely panini rolls were growing older by the day; on Day Three I simply had to rescue the remaining 6 rolls. And not just to the freezer where they would be forgotten and probably thrown out 4 months down the road!<br \/>\nI also had some apples that were becoming less and less eye appealing by the day; the answer to my problems, Apple Bread Pudding but with summer temperatures preventing me from wanting to turn the oven on&#8230;haul out the slow cooker. I found this recipe for <a href=\"http:\/\/godsheart-heart2heart.blogspot.ca\/2011\/10\/slow-cooker-apple-bread-pudding.html?m=1\/\" target=\"_blank\">Slow Cooker Apple Bread pudding<\/a> with many thanks to Google. However, I didn&#8217;t want choc chips in my bread pudding and I skipped the Yogurt Sauce found in the original recipe.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1720\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1720\" style=\"width: 612px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1720\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1720\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1720  \" alt=\"Apple Bread Pudding\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slow-Cooker-Apple-Bread-Pudding-300x300.jpg\" width=\"612\" height=\"612\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slow-Cooker-Apple-Bread-Pudding-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slow-Cooker-Apple-Bread-Pudding-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slow-Cooker-Apple-Bread-Pudding.jpg 612w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 612px) 100vw, 612px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1720\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Apple Bread Pudding<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>6 cups Crusty Bread, torn into 1\/2 inch pieces<br \/>\n1 cup Steamed Apples (peel, core and thinly slice apples; microwave in covered microwave-safe \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 dish for 1Min30Sec.)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup Sultanas<br \/>\n1\/2 cup Pecans, chopped<br \/>\n4 large Eggs, lightly beaten<br \/>\n3\/4 cup Milk<br \/>\n1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk<br \/>\n1 1\/2 teaspoons ground Cinnamon<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon ground Ginger<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon ground Nutmeg<br \/>\n1\/4 teaspoon ground Cloves<\/p>\n<p>Coat slow cooker insert with butter or margarine.<br \/>\nAdd 1\/2 the cubed bread; spread with half of: \u00a0the steamed apples, sultanas, chopped pecans<br \/>\nAdd remaining bread, top with remaining steamed apples, sultanas and chopped pecans.<br \/>\nIn a medium bowl combine eggs, milk, condensed milk, and spices; pour over bread, fruit and nuts, pressing down with a spoon \u00a0to completely moisten all the bread.<br \/>\nCover and cook on LOW setting for 3 &#8211; 4 hours, or until knife inserted in the centre comes out clean.<br \/>\nStart checking the bread pudding after three hours and check every 15 minutes afterwards until cooked through.<br \/>\nServe with fresh whipped cream or ice cream.<\/p>\n<p>Serves 8<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1721\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1721\" style=\"width: 612px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1721\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1721\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1721\" alt=\"Comforting Apple Bread Pudding\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slow-Cooker-Apple-Bread-Pudding-Served-Up.jpg\" width=\"612\" height=\"612\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slow-Cooker-Apple-Bread-Pudding-Served-Up.jpg 612w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slow-Cooker-Apple-Bread-Pudding-Served-Up-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Slow-Cooker-Apple-Bread-Pudding-Served-Up-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 612px) 100vw, 612px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1721\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Comforting Apple Bread Pudding<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>FYI &#8211; This is sort of like having French Toast for breakfast right?
