I got the recipe from a Tupperware dealer when Ultra21&#8217;s were all the rage! I loved those so much! I have long since lost the Ultra 21 and now use a 10&#8243;Springform pan instead. I like how easy it is to serve from a Springform pan\u00a0<em>and\u00a0<\/em>how easy a Springform is to clean!<\/span><\/p>\n<dl class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" id=\"attachment_1742\" style=\"width: 614px;\">\n<dt class=\"wp-caption-dt\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1742\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1742\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1742\" alt=\"My Very Favourite Vegetable Pie\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Vegetable-Pie.jpg\" width=\"604\" height=\"487\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Vegetable-Pie.jpg 604w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Vegetable-Pie-300x241.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 604px) 100vw, 604px\" \/><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/dt>\n<dd class=\"wp-caption-dd\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">My Very Favourite Vegetable Pie<\/span><\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p><b>Crust:<br \/>\n<\/b>1\/2 cup Butter<br \/>\n1 1\/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour<br \/>\n2 teaspoons Baking Powder<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n1\/2 cup plain Yogurt<br \/>\n<b>Filling:<br \/>\n<\/b>3 cups finely chopped Broccoli (it is important that all your veggies [use a combo of Broccoli, Cauliflower, Peppers, Grated Carrot, Mushrooms] are finely chopped with the exception of zucchini)<br \/>\n1\/3 cup diced Onion<br \/>\n<b>Topping:<br \/>\n<\/b>1 cup Grated Cheddar, or a combination of cheeses: Monterey Jack, Mozza, Swiss, a sprinkle of Parmesan, loosely equal to a cup of grated cheese<br \/>\n2 medium Tomatoes, sliced<br \/>\n1\/3 cup Mayo combined with 2 Tablespoons plain Yogurt<br \/>\n8 fresh Basil leaves or 1 1\/2 \u00a0teaspoons dried Basil<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 450F. (230C)<br \/>\nPrepare a 20&#8243; Springform pan by spraying with Vegetable Oil Spray and lightly dusting with cornmeal. Or use the same size Quiche pan.<br \/>\nIn mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.\u00a0\u00a0Add yogurt and stir until the dough comes together.<br \/>\nPress the dough into prepared baking pan and, if using a springform pan, halfway up the sides.<br \/>\nLayer filling over crust in order given.<br \/>\nIn a small bowl combine 1\/3 cup Mayo and 2 Tbsp Plain Yogurt; spread this over the Vegetable Filling.<br \/>\nTop with grated cheese(s).<br \/>\nArrange sliced tomatoes and fresh basil leaves on top. (If using dried basil, sprinkle on top of cheese(s)<\/p>\n<p>Bake at 450F for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350F (175C) and bake for another 30 minutes.<br \/>\nRemove from oven, let stand for 15 minutes, serve.<\/p>\n<p>Serves 6 &#8211; 8<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been making this recipe so long that the recipe page is now sandwiched between two layers of packing tape so that it will not deteriorate any further!
