Those that consumed the Burgers liked both versions, helpful Souls that they are when it comes to critiquing my fare!<\/p>\n<p>Rather than googling a recipe I resorted to my tried and true source and found,\u00a0&#8220;Savoury Fish Patties&#8221;\u00a0<em>Betty Crocker&#8217;s\u00a0<\/em>New Cookbook,\u00a0<em>\u00a0Everything you Need to Know to Cook, <\/em>8th Edition, \u00a0A Simon and Schuster Macmillan Company, New York, NY, Macmillan, 1996, 188. Print<br \/>\nI made a few slight changes: I always have bread crumbs in the pantry\/freezer so used the measured amount over the two torn slices of bread, substituted dill for the marjoram and forgot the \u00a0dry mustard altogether.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1748\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1748\" style=\"width: 409px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1748\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1748\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1748\" alt=\"Salmon Burger \" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Salmon-Burger.jpg\" width=\"409\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Salmon-Burger.jpg 409w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Salmon-Burger-284x300.jpg 284w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 409px) 100vw, 409px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1748\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Salmon Burger<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>3 cups canned Salmon<br \/>\n1\/2 cup chopped Onion<br \/>\n1 1\/3 cup Bread Crumbs<br \/>\n2 large Eggs, beaten<br \/>\n2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice<br \/>\n1 teaspoon dried Dill<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon Salt<br \/>\nPepper, to taste<\/p>\n<p>Olive Oil, for frying<\/p>\n<p>Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.<br \/>\nShape into 6 large patties.<br \/>\nHeat oil in a 10&#8243; Skillet over medium heat.<br \/>\nCook patties in oil for about 5 minutes, carefully turn over and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.<br \/>\nRemove to serving platter.<br \/>\nServe with \u00a0<em>Boathouse\u00a0<\/em>Lemon Dill Dipping Sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Serves 6<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this year I made Salmon Burgers using raw salmon which went over very well with the meat eaters in our house but my Aunty Ginny recently gave me some canned salmon so thought I would try a Salmon Burger using that&#8230;As the Cook, I preferred using the canned salmon over the raw!
