It is that time of the year again; Pumpkin Lattes will be available at Starbucks, not that I ever go there but I do walk by their shops from time to time and they smell absolutely amazing with all the beautiful Fall spices! Brings to mind visions of beautiful orange, yellow and brown Maple leaves drifting to the ground. The crunch of said leaves under foot along the many beautiful trails in beautiful British Columbia&#8230;hey, that is what it says on the license plates! There is a crispness in the air and we are driven to thoughts of curling up in front of our fireplaces with a good book, a cup of good coffee and something yummy to nosh on. This <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inspiredtaste.net\/16810\/spiced-pumpkin-scones-recipe\/\" target=\"_blank\">Spiced Pumpkin Scone<\/a> recipe I found last year fits the bill to the T! These scones are lightly adorned by not one, but two delectable glazes. Got your mouth watering? Get thee to the kitchen and get cracking on your own Spiced Pumpkin Scones!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1774\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1774\" style=\"width: 720px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1774\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1774\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1774\" alt=\"Spiced Pumpkin Scones\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pumpkin-Spice-Scones1.jpg\" width=\"720\" height=\"540\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pumpkin-Spice-Scones1.jpg 720w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pumpkin-Spice-Scones1-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pumpkin-Spice-Scones1-624x468.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1774\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lovely Spiced Pumpkin Scones<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>2 cups Flour<br \/>\n1\/3 cup Brown Sugar<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Baking Powder<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon Baking Soda<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon Salt<br \/>\n1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon<br \/>\n3\/4 each, Ground Ginger, Ground Cloves<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon ground Nutmeg<br \/>\n1\/2 cup Butter, cold and cubed<br \/>\n1\/2 cup Pumpkin Puree<br \/>\n1 Tablespoon Molasses<br \/>\n3 Tablespoons Half and Half<br \/>\n1 Egg<br \/>\n2 teaspoons Vanilla<br \/>\n<strong>Simple Sugar Glaze<\/strong><br \/>\n1 cup Icing Sugar<br \/>\n1 &#8211; 2 Tablespoons Half and Half &lt;&#8211;I use Luke&#8217;s Coffee Milk<br \/>\n<strong>Spiced Glaze<\/strong><br \/>\n1 cup \u00a0Icing Sugar<br \/>\n1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Puree<br \/>\nPinch each: Cloves, Nutmeg, Ginger, Cinnamon<br \/>\n1 &#8211; 2 Tablespoons Half and Half<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 400F.<br \/>\nLine baking sheet with parchment paper.<\/p>\n<p>In large bowl combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and all the spices.<br \/>\nUsing a pastry blender or two knives, cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.<br \/>\nIn a small bowl or a large measuring cup whisk together pumpkin puree, molasses, half and half, vanilla and egg.<br \/>\nWith a fork stir pumpkin mixture into flour mixture just until a soft dough forms.<br \/>\nTurn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.<br \/>\nGently knead about 10 times.<br \/>\nGently roll out to 3\/4&#8243; thickness and use<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1776\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1776\" style=\"width: 240px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1776\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1776\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1776\" alt=\"I use the bottom centre cutter for scones\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/tupperware-cookie-cutter.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1776\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I use the bottom centre cutter for scones<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Tupperware Fluted Cookie Cutter to cut out scones.<br \/>\nPlace on prepared baking tray and bake for 10 &#8211; 15 minutes or until golden brown .<br \/>\nTransfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.<br \/>\nWhile scones are cooling prepare your glazes.<br \/>\nIn small bowl stir together icing sugar and half and half to desired consistency.<br \/>\nLoad into a Ziploc Freezer bag or a Piping Bag with a small writing tip .<br \/>\nIn small bowl combine icing sugar, pumpkin puree, spices; add 1 Tablespoon half and half and stir, adding more half and half to get desired consistency.<br \/>\nLoad into another Ziploc Freezer bag or Piping Bag fitted with a small writing tip.<br \/>\nDrizzle first one glaze then the other over the scones.<br \/>\nLet glaze set for about 15 &#8211; 20 minutes.<br \/>\nEnjoy!<\/p>\n<p>Serves: 8 Scones<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Simply the most wonderful Pumpkin Scones!
