Every Christmas I hauled the faded old recipe card out of the recipe box and made these Ginger Crinkles. In fact, last year I had to rewrite the recipe onto a new card because I simply could not read the old one anymore!<br \/>\nWherever I got the recipe from, I am sure glad I did! It is one of my favourites.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1878\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1878\" style=\"width: 625px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1878\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1878\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1878\" alt=\"ginger crinkles\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC02786-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"625\" height=\"468\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC02786-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC02786-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC02786-624x467.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1878\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ginger Crinkles<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>3\/4 cup Butter, room temperature<br \/>\n1 cup Brown Sugar, packed<br \/>\n1 Egg<br \/>\n1\/4 cup Fancy Molasses<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Vanilla<br \/>\n2 cups Flour<br \/>\n2 teaspoon Baking Powder<br \/>\n2 teaspoons ground Ginger<br \/>\n1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon ground Allspice<br \/>\n1\/4 teaspoon ground Cloves<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon Salt<br \/>\n1\/4 cup Sugar for Rolling Cookie Dough in<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350F.<br \/>\nLine 4 baking trays with parchment paper.<\/p>\n<p>In a medium mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt and spices; set aside.<br \/>\nIn large bowl, beat butter with brown sugar until well blended.<br \/>\nAdd egg, molasses and vanilla; beat until smooth.<br \/>\nStir half the flour mixture into the creamed mixture, until well incorporated.<br \/>\nStir in remaining flour mixture and stir until no flour is visible.<br \/>\nGather into a ball, place in a small bowl, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about an hour. Or you can speed things up a bit by placing in the freezer compartment for 30 minutes.<br \/>\nRoll about 1 1\/2 teaspoons of dough into a ball; roll in sugar and place about 2&#8243; apart on prepared baking tray.<br \/>\nRepeat with remaining dough.<br \/>\nBake in preheated 350F oven for about 12 minutes, rotating trays at 6 minutes; cookies will flatten slightly, have cracked tops and bottoms are lightly browned.<br \/>\nLet cool on baking trays on wire racks for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.<\/p>\n<p>Makes about 4 Dozen Cookies<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now, you know that I like to give credit where credit is due but I really do NOT know where I got this recipe from.
