I think I have found a way to make yummy, crispy, fresh outta the oven French Fries! That&#8217;s a big thing for me because sometimes I get this mega-huge craving for the dang things and, yea, try and find a fryer out there that is not cross contaminated with poultry or seafood! Impossible! Except New York Fries but they seem to have gone the way of the Dodo bird.<\/p>\n<p>The thing that worked for me was to par boil the cut fries, drain &#8217;em and let &#8217;em lay on a clean kitchen towel for about 15 minutes before throwing them in a bowl, tossing &#8217;em with some olive oil, turning &#8217;em out onto a parchment lined baking tray and firing them into a HOT oven for 20 minutes, stirring after the first 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>When I took the hot lil babies outta the oven I tossed them into a bowl, sprinkled with coarse salt and a lil chopped parsley, and voila! Crispy on the outside and yummy on the inside!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2230\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2230\" style=\"width: 474px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=2230\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2230\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2230\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC03977-1024x674.jpg\" alt=\"crispy oven baked french fries\" width=\"474\" height=\"311\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC03977-1024x674.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC03977-300x197.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 474px) 100vw, 474px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2230\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Crispy Oven Baked French Fries<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>6 Yukon Gold Potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 3\/8&#8243; x 3\/8&#8243;x 3&#8243; 8mmx75mm\u00a0strips<br \/>\n2 Tablespoons (30ml) \u00a0Olive Oil<br \/>\nSalt, to taste<br \/>\nParsley, \u00a0a few sprigs, chopped<\/p>\n<p>In large pot of boiling water, par boil french fry-cut potatoes for 2 &#8211; 3 minutes.<br \/>\nPreheat oven to 450F.<br \/>\nLine two baking trays with parchment paper.<br \/>\nDrain in colander and turn out onto clean kitchen towel to dry completely, blotting with another clean kitchen towel if necessary.<br \/>\nIn medium size mixing bowl, combine dry, par boiled french fry-cut potatoes with olive oil and toss to coat all potatoes.<br \/>\nTurn out, in a single layer onto prepared baking trays.<br \/>\nBake for 10 minutes; remove baking trays from oven and stir fries.<br \/>\nReturn to oven and continue baking for another 10 minutes or until a lovely golden brown.<br \/>\nRemove from oven, tip fries into large mixing bowl, sprinkle with coarse salt and chopped parsley; toss to coat all fries.<br \/>\nServe immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Serves 4 &#8211; 6<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ah, \u00a0Crispy French Fries&#8230;why doth though forsake me?
