{"id":2256,"date":"2015-07-11T07:10:15","date_gmt":"2015-07-11T14:10:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?p=2256"},"modified":"2015-07-11T07:10:15","modified_gmt":"2015-07-11T14:10:15","slug":"cinnamon-roll-biscuits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?p=2256","title":{"rendered":"Cinnamon Roll Biscuits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When you are craving Cinnamon Rolls but no time to bloom, ferment and proof the yeast variety, this will hit the spot!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2258\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2258\" style=\"width: 834px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=2258\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2258\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2258\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cinnamon-Roll-Biscuits-1.jpg\" alt=\"cinnamon roll biscuits\" width=\"834\" height=\"668\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cinnamon-Roll-Biscuits-1.jpg 834w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cinnamon-Roll-Biscuits-1-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 834px) 100vw, 834px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2258\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cinnamon Roll Biscuits<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>4 cups Flour<br \/>\n1\/4 cup Sugar<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp Cinnamon<br \/>\n2 Tbsp + 2 tsp Baking Powder<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp Salt<\/p>\n<p>2\/3 cup (150g) Butter, cold, cut into cubes<br \/>\n2 cups Milk<br \/>\n2 tsp Vanilla<\/p>\n<p>Filling<br \/>\n1\/4 cup Butter, softened<br \/>\n1\/2 Brown Sugar<br \/>\n1 Tbsp Cinnamon<\/p>\n<p>Cream Cheese Frosting<br \/>\n1\/4 Cream Cheese, softened<br \/>\n2 Tbsp Butter, softened<br \/>\n2 cups Powdered Sugar<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp Vanilla<br \/>\nMilk, to right consistency<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 375F (190C)<br \/>\nLightly grease a 9X13 (33cmx23cmx5cm)<\/p>\n<p>Filling:<br \/>\nIn a small bowl combine brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.<br \/>\nSoftened butter in microwave for 10 seconds; set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Dough:<br \/>\nIn large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.<br \/>\nUsing a pastry blender, two knives or rubbing together with hands, cut in cold, cubed butter into flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.<br \/>\nUsing a fork, gently stir in milk and vanilla, to make a soft dough.<br \/>\nTurn out onto floured surface and gently knead 10 &#8211; 15 times; let rest for 10 minutes.<br \/>\nOn floured surface, gently roll dough out into a 15&#8243;x9&#8243; rectangle.<br \/>\nCarefully spread softened butter all over the surface of dough, leaving a 1\/4&#8243; border; sprinkle with brown sugar\/cinnamon mixture.<br \/>\nBeginning with 15&#8243; side, roll up dough, pinch the long edge to seal.<br \/>\nWith a sharp knife cut into 12 equal pieces.<br \/>\nPlace rolls into prepared pan and bake in preheated 375F oven for 20 &#8211; 25 minutes, rotating pan halfway through baking time.<br \/>\nWhen golden brown, remove from oven and cool, in pan, on wire rack.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare Cream Cheese Frosting<br \/>\nIn medium mixing bowl combine softened cream cheese and butter until no lumps remain.<br \/>\nStir in 1 cup of powdered sugar, vanilla and 1 tablespoon of milk; stir until smooth.<br \/>\nAdd another cup of powdered sugar and stir &#8211; adding a splash or two of milk, to right consistency.<br \/>\nStir until smooth; spread over slightly cooled Cinnamon Roll Biscuits.<\/p>\n<p>Yield: 12<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When you are craving Cinnamon Rolls but no time to bloom, ferment and proof the yeast variety, this will hit the spot!
