Everyone has there own twist on the recipe. \u00a0Sometimes I will add things, use different cheeses, sometimes add a breadcrumb topping, sometimes not&#8230;create your own heartwarming, soul soothing Mac and Cheese.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1422\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1422\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=1422\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1422\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1422\" title=\"Mac and Cheese\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Mac-and-Cheese.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"419\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Mac-and-Cheese.jpg 640w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Mac-and-Cheese-300x196.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1422\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mac and Cheese - Creamy Delicious Cheesy Delight<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Just a note, I often double the amounts so that I can have leftovers for lunches.<\/p>\n<p>6 ounces Pasta (Cavatappi is my new fave! Sea Shells are great, Bow Ties and sometimes \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 you just have to go with good ol&#8217; fashioned Elbow)<br \/>\n1\/4 cup Butter (Margarine)<br \/>\n1 small Onion, chopped<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon minced Garlic<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon Salt<br \/>\n1\/4 teaspoon Pepper<br \/>\n1\/4 cup Flour<br \/>\n1 3\/4 cups Milk (Soy Milk)<br \/>\n8 ounces Shredded Old Cheddar or a combination of cheeses: a bit of parmesan, cheddar, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0mozza.<br \/>\n1 &#8211; 3 teaspoons Mustard<br \/>\n1\/4 teaspoon Paprika<\/p>\n<p>Bread Crumb Topping:<br \/>\n2 slices Multigrain Bread<br \/>\n1 Tablespoon Butter, melted<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon &#8220;The Mix&#8221; &lt;- my blend of spices that I use for a lot of things<\/p>\n<p>Put bread slices in processor and pulse until no chunks of bread remain.<br \/>\nAdd melted butter, pulse for a few seconds to coat bread with butter; set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 375F.<br \/>\nLightly butter or spray a 1 1\/2 quart casserole dish; set aside.<\/p>\n<p>In a large pot cook pasta according to directions on package.<br \/>\nPour into colander to drain; leave sitting in colander.<br \/>\nIn the same pot, melt butter; add onion, garlic, \u00a0salt and pepper and cook until onion is soft.<br \/>\nBlend in flour.<br \/>\nCook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat.<br \/>\nStir in milk.<br \/>\nHeat to boiling over medium high heat, stirring constantly; maintain boil for about a minute, and keep on stirring.<br \/>\nRemove from heat; stir in mustard, paprika and cheese. Stir until all the cheese is melted.<\/p>\n<p>Pour macaroni into the cheese mixture and stir to coat all the pasta.<br \/>\nPour macaroni and cheese into prepared casserole dish.<br \/>\nSprinkle breadcrumbs on top.<br \/>\nBake uncovered in 375F oven for 30 minutes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is nothing quite so comforting as Home Made Macaroni and Cheese.
