{"id":622,"date":"2011-11-08T02:22:56","date_gmt":"2011-11-08T02:22:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?p=622"},"modified":"2011-11-08T02:22:56","modified_gmt":"2011-11-08T02:22:56","slug":"black-forest-cupcakes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?p=622","title":{"rendered":"Black Forest Cupcakes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cupcakes are just so much easier to serve and every bit as good as the original Black Forest Cake<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_623\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-623\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/?attachment_id=623\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-623\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-623\" title=\"Black Forest Cupcakes\" src=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4669.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4669.jpg 640w, http:\/\/aysontespli.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4669-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-623\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A wonderful combination of Dark Chocolate and Cherries<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>1 \u00a0 2-layer Chocolate Cake Mix (I used Devil&#8217;s Food Cake)<\/p>\n<p>1 (540ml can) Cherry Pie Filling<\/p>\n<p>1\/3 cup Kirch (Cherry Brandy)<\/p>\n<p>500 ml Whipping Cream<br \/>\n3 Tablespoons<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Vanilla<\/p>\n<p>1\/3 cup Chocolate Shavings ( I buy a 200gm Dark Chocolate bar and pare shavings with a clean vegetable peeler)<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350F.<br \/>\nLine muffin tins with paper liners; set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare Chocolate Cake mix as directed on package.<br \/>\n*I subbed in 2 Tablespoons Black Coffee for some of the water<br \/>\nDivide evenly into prepared muffin tins.<br \/>\nBake for 18 &#8211; 23 minutes or until pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.<br \/>\nRemove from oven and cool in tins on wire rack for 10 minutes before turning out and cooling completely.<\/p>\n<p>Pour whipping cream into a \u00a0very clean mixing bowl; beat on a lower speed for a few minutes until cream starts to thicken.<br \/>\nIncrease speed to med-high, add icing sugar, \u00a0a Tablespoon at a time followed by the vanilla.<br \/>\nIncrease to high speed and beat until thick and peaks form when the beater is lifted.<\/p>\n<p>Using a serrated knife, cut a cone of cake from the top of each cupcake; reserve the cupcake cone for later.
