The Onion Soup or the Crisp Toasted Cheese Bread? Together they are just amazing! 5 Onions, sliced<\/p>\n<div>2 Tablespoons Butter<\/div>\n<div>1 Tablespoon minced Garlic<\/div>\n<div>1 Tablespoon Salt<\/div>\n<div>2 Tablespoons Flour<\/div>\n<div>6 1\/2 cups Vegetable Broth<\/div>\n<div>Thyme<\/div>\n<div>Sage<\/div>\n<div>Vegan Worcestershire Sauce<\/div>\n<div>1\/2 White Wine<\/div>\n<div>4 &#8211; 6 slices Crusty Bread<\/div>\n<div>4 &#8211; 6 slice Swiss Cheese<\/div>\n<div>In large saucepan, saute onions and garlic for about 20 minutes, until onions are soften and golden brown, stirring almost constantly.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/sonteisservingitup\/events\/frenchonionsoup\/IMG_0690.JPG?attredirects=0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/sonteisservingitup\/_\/rsrc\/1279000246787\/events\/frenchonionsoup\/IMG_0690.JPG?height=149&amp;width=200\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"149\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Stir in flour and stir for a minute.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/sonteisservingitup\/events\/frenchonionsoup\/IMG_0691.JPG?attredirects=0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/sonteisservingitup\/_\/rsrc\/1279000566878\/events\/frenchonionsoup\/IMG_0691.JPG?height=149&amp;width=200\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"149\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Gradually add Vegetable Broth and water; 8 hours.<\/div>\n<div>When ready to serve soup:<\/div>\n<div>Preheat oven to 425F.<\/div>\n<div>Slice a loaf of French Bread and place slices on a baking tray.<\/div>\n<div>Top each bread slice with a piece of Swiss Cheese (Havarti or even Cheddar will do in a pinch)<\/div>\n<div>Toast in preheated oven for about 5 &#8211; 7 \u00a0minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and bread is lightly toasted.<\/div>\n<div>Remove from oven and place a slice of toasted cheese bread in each bowl of soup.<\/div>\n<div>If you are using oven proof bowls:<\/div>\n<div>Preheat oven to 425F.<\/div>\n<div>Toast slices of french bread.<\/div>\n<div>Top each slice of toasted french bread with swiss cheese\u00a0\u00a0(Havarti or even Cheddar will do in a pinch)<\/div>\n<div>Put cheese topped bread on top of each serving of soup.<\/div>\n<div>Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until cheese is bubbly.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am not sure which I love more?
