(this is the tedious bit but you know it is so worth it!)<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Stir in Flavouring(s) of your choice; I use about 1 1\/2 teaspoons of Vanilla and 1 teaspoon of Almond Extract<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Fold in coconut.<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Spoon large teaspoons of mixture onto prepared baking tray.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until firm and showing a hint of colour.<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Remove from oven and place on wire cooling rack.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Carefully slide a metal spatula under each macaroon; the macaroons will form a crisp outer shell as they cool so I like to loosen them from the baking paper before they set.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Variations:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">After spooning out mixture, with slightly wet fingers, even out the surface of the macaroon and then make indent in the centre of each one<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Place a scant amount of jam in each indentation.<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Bake as directed.<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Once cool, you can either drizzle each macaroon with a bit of melted chocolate<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">or<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px; font-size: small;\">Dip 1\/2 of the macaroon into melted chocolate; place on wire rack and allow chocolate to set.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"line-height: 19px;
